Step 1: Start building your learner portfolio today.
Step 1: Begin by creating your personal, project-based portfolio.
Create a new account on Learn Through Life to setup your personal portfolio page. On your portfolio page, you can enter in your personal profile information, and then you are ready to upload projects that you have created.

Step 2: Determine the learning apps required for completing your project.
Select the app(s) needed to teach you the skills required for completing your project. If you already possess those skills, great, you can skip this step. However, if you need to learn the basics of any technology skill, choose to purchase a low-cost, user-friendly app from the Ed. Tech. Directory. These K – 12 level apps are inexpensive and much easier to use than other commercial skill-learning options out there.

Step 3: Complete the project form to document your project
Choose the Project Form button on your portfolio page to download the form where you can document your project steps. Be sure to state your steps clearly and easily for a general audience, and you should include a project picture. You will also need to name any learning apps you used to learn the technology skill; be specific to the menu items or sections required by your project.

Step 4: Add your project to your portfolio and share your project to others
Select the Upload Form button to post your project on your portfolio page. When prompted, you can select Yes to share your project on a project feed for others to view, like, and comment on. If you do decide to share, you will be asked to categorize and tag your project according to the business and industry type of your project. This will help others better search for projects, and you will be contributing your real-world projects for their important learning and training needs.

Step 5: Continue to add projects to your portfolio on Learn Through life
As you add projects, they will be added to a list feed, where you can select to show them to others. You can choose to modify or delete projects if desired, but as technology rapidly changes, your best defense to stay relevant is to regularly post new projects to reflect the real-world technology needs of the day. You be ahead of others and can continue upskilling. Have fun!
